Ross joined the Navy at 18 after graduating high school and is still Active Duty. Through his time he has undergone extensive training in, as well as instructed: Anti-terrorism Tactics and Response, Crew Served Weapons Employment, Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC), and Visit, Board, Search, and Seizure (VBSS) tactics, techniques, and procedures.

Certified to instruct through the CWP:

Pistol one, Rifle One, TCCC-Basic, TCCC-Advanced, Tactical Communications, Firearms Familiarity & Safety, and Home Defense.
